THE SEA OF CHICKENS

Another personal piece, “The Sea of Chickens” represents an artist’s dream of a family member departing. In the dream, the artist’s relative (her grandmother) needed to get to “the other side” and the artist took her across the sea of chickens. Just like we can connect to our ancestors through dreams, we can connect to them through plants and animals that are aligned with their spirit – even if the animals are seemingly as domestic as a chicken.
