The piece is representing corridors of time and space where we encounter our past and our future. It speaks about the search for our own heroic journey, our story and path that is uniquely ours, in the tapestry of possibilities. Who came before us and what we leave behind are questions of the present moment, and this drawing asks us to contemplate matters of our values, so that we may find the best passage in our own personal journey.
This is a 36x24 Pen/Pencil drawing (2017)
This drawing is an abstraction of various phenomena, spirits, animals, and humans – faces that can present themselves as a part of the Earth we live on. Smaller drawings compose a harmony of shapes that constitute the larger drawings, insinuating the layered nature of existence and complexity of the visible and invisible, the micro to the macro. With careful observation, one can see different animals, spirits and deities hidden in the crowd.
This is a 38x24" ink drawing, with color added digitally (2017)
This drawing depicts a highly meditative state, where physical sensations are subdued and remind one of the fluttering wings of the butterfly. The image refers to the dream of a Taoist master Chuang Tzu, where the philosopher wonders if he dreamt of being a butterfly, or if the butterfly dreamt of being a human - thus questioning his non-meditative reality.
